Lobenberg: Der Wein wächst auf ca. 550m in Süd-Ost Ausrichtung auf Kreide-Ton-Böden. Komplette Handlese. Klassische Rotweinbereitung mit langer Mazeration auf der Schale. Ausbau für 18 Monate in französischer und slowenischer Eiche. Danach weitere 24 Monate Flaschenreifung. Traumhaftes Rubinrot im Glas. Die Nase ist geprägt von voller Kirsche und roten Beeren. Dazu kommen Tabak und balsamische Noten. Alles fein unterlegt von Kräutern. Schon hier enorm komplex. Im Mund eröffnet er seine ganze Eleganz. Wieder Kirsche, aber auch Pflaume und eingekochte Erdbeeren. Von hinten drücken Lakritz und Pfefferaromen. Sehr vollmundig und intensiv. Ein fantastischer Taurasi. 94/100

-- Parker: Mastroberardino shows an impressive performance in this challenging vintage that was cooler and wetter than average. The 2014 Taurasi Radici is a rich and darkly concentrated expression of Aglianico with a generous bouquet. The wine's aromas are stacked high and tall with dried cherry, prune, Indian spice, tar, tobacco and campfire ash. Perhaps the mouthfeel is less powerful compared to a warmer vintage, but that cooling acidity and compact flavor profile suits this wine very nicely. 92/100
