Heiner Lobenberg über:
Syrah l’Ame Soeur 2018

94
/100

Galloni über: Syrah l’Ame Soeur

-- Galloni: Complex array of dark berry, floral and pungent spice qualities on the highly perfumed nose. A smoky mineral note gains volume as the wine opens up and adds vibrant lift to sweet cherry liqueur, blueberry and spicecake flavors, which unfurl through the midpalate. Blends power and delicacy with a steady hand and shows outstanding energy and strong mineral cut on a very long, youthfully tannic finish. 93-94/100

Parker über: Syrah l’Ame Soeur

-- Parker: Consumers who like their Syrah with more tartness and red fruit should give the 2018 L'Ame Soeur Syrah de Seyssuel a try. Bright raspberries appear on the nose, accented by hints of peppery spice, licorice and mocha. It's medium to full-bodied, concentrated and richly textured on the palate, with softly dusty tannins that linger on the finish. This seems a bit beefier and richer than when I last tasted it, yet still retains plenty of charm. Drink it over the next decade. 93/100

Decanter über: Syrah l’Ame Soeur

-- Decanter: I love the nose – blueberries and lilies in a vivid floral display; the 4% Viognier really works well. It has concentration and weight on the palate, with balanced acidity. Captures the finesse of the place, but has a little more weight and presence than some Seyssuels. Very well balanced, harmonious, soft and yielding – and very drinkable. 93/100
