Lobenberg: Ist das nun die Antwort auf einen weißen Bordeaux? Ein Pessac von Smith Haut Lafitte? Oder doch eher ein im Holz ausgebauter Sauvignon Blanc von Vacheron? Irgendwo dazwischen. Feuerstein und Haselnuss, neben Grapefruit und Limette. Sehr mineralisch und straff wie ein Chablis von Piuze. Sehr fokussiert, toller Geradeauslauf und grandiose Struktur bei immenser Länge, dennoch trotz spürbarem Holzeinsatz fein und frisch. Der gehört trotz seiner vordergründigen Tiefstapelei mit der Südsteiermark, der Loire und Bordeaux in die Reihe der großen Sauvignons der Welt. 95-96+/100

-- Suckling: --Suckling: The trademark reductive complexity will surprise the regular sauvignon-blanc drinker and delight those who delve into great white Burgundy. Flinty lemon and grapefruit pith and really fresh, river-stone minerals, the palate has a gently creamy array of lime and green-mango flavors. Super wine. Drink now. Screw cap. 95/100

-- Tim Atkin: A wine that's consistently a match for all but the very best (and much more expensive) wines of Pessac-Léognan, this deftly oaked Marlborough Sauvignon ages brilliantly too. Leesy, rich yet beautifully balanced, it combines flavours of vanilla spice, gooseberry fool, lanolin and vivid acidity. One of the region's very best expressions of the grape. 94/100

-- Parker: Whole-bunch pressed and wild fermented in oak, the 2015 Section 94 is still in a bit of youthful funk. Hints of green onion and sweat appear on the nose, but the flavors are settling into a comfortable range of stone fruit, melon and pink grapefruit. It's medium to full-bodied, with a rich, almost creamy texture and a long, plush finish. 93/100
