Parker über:
Quinta do Mouro Gold Label
-- Parker: The 2013 Tinto Gold Label is a blend of 55% Alicante Bouschet, 25% Aragonez, 10% Touriga Nacional and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon aged for 18 to 24 months (depending on lot) in new French oak. It comes in at 14% alcohol. Sumptuous on the nose, this shows the wood a bit too much in its youth, but it has good depth for this tricky year and a real backbone. The tannins aren't too hard, though, so you could drink this right now if you had to do so. As with its regular sibling, though, it could use a few years to round into form. At the moment, this is not a big step up over the regular, but that may change in time, as this will age better. This is a restrained and understated Gold Label, but a nuanced and complex one—at least, once it sheds the woody nuances. 93/100
