Pinot Gris Zellenberg
-- Parker: Fermented and aged in Burgundian pièces for two years and not in the markets before 2016, the golden-yellow 2012 Pinot Gris Zellenberg offers a deep, rich, ripe, intense, and spicy wine on nose and palate. Bottled with 20 grams of residual sugar, but the sweetness is well balanced by a piquant acidity, very fine tannins and a tension-filled, very promising length. '20 grams is 10 grams too much for my personal taste,“ says Marc Tempé, 'but we have to pick the grapes really ripe, so we always run the risk to end up with more sweetness than we wish.' Still medium-dry on the palate, this elegant and well structured Pinot Gris will taste almost dry in a couple of years. 91/100
