Suckling über: Pinot Gris Clos Jebsal Selection de Grains Nobles (fruchtsüß)

-- Suckling: Forget the dessert and just grab a half bottle of this stunning dessert wine. Plenty of concentration and an intense creme-brulee character, but it is neither as massive or as sweet as many of the previous vintages of this wine. This makes it very easy to enjoy. Drink or hold, and 20 years of aging is no a problem at all. 97/100

Galloni über: Pinot Gris Clos Jebsal Selection de Grains Nobles (fruchtsüß)

-- Galloni: Luminous golden yellow. Remarkably concentrated and perfumed nose of crystallized papaya, fresh mango, cinnamon, peach and marmalady botrytis. Enters dense and sweet, the luscious flavors of peach and mango lifted by lemony acidity. Finishes long and very bright, with a rising element of bitter orange marmalade. Boasts 128 g/L r.s. and harmonious acidity; the grapes were mostly passerillé as there was less noble rot than usual in 2016. This is the first SGN Humbrecht has made since 2011. My score is an average between the nose (99) and the palate (95). (375 ml.) 97/100

Winespectator über: Pinot Gris Clos Jebsal Selection de Grains Nobles (fruchtsüß)

-- Winespectator: This expressive SGN exudes a lovely, ripe note of quince paste on the nose, carrying through to the palate, where accents of graham cracker, orange confit, saffron and crystallized honey emerge. Rich and silky, effortlessly integrating the vibrant acidity and subtle, smoky minerality. Offers a mouthwatering, spiced finish. To be released May 2019. Drink now through 2036. 95/100
