Lobenberg: Früher war der Cabernet Franc Teil des Papazzi, seit Andrea Franchetti beide separat ausbaut und füllt sind beide besser geworden. Wobei mein Herz für Cabernet Franc schlägt, eindeutig. Chateau Cheval Blanc und Ausone, noch vor den großen Weinen der Loire. Jung etwas rauh, Stiele und Stengel in der Mazeration? Geniale Spannung. Rauchig, krautwürzig druckvoll, rauchig, Tabak, dazu Waldhimbeeren, Kirsche und Pflaume, deutlich würziger und herausfordernder als die runderen Palazzi und Trinoro. Irgendwie doch an Clos Rougeard von der Loire erinnernd, toll! Mehr Zeit vor dem Genuss und er wird im Laufe der Jahre immer besser werden. 96-98/100

The Tenuta di Trinoro 2018 Campo di Magnacosta (with only 1,950 bottles released) is powerful and complex. Campo di Magnacosta is also very elegant, showing a slow and careful approach that takes on volume and latitude as the wine opens aromatically. Give it time. Black fruit, Spanish cedar, charred meat, crushed river stone and exotic spice take center stage. The mouthfeel offers a lot of texture and succulence, but the finish is linear and structured. The wine's length ultimately translates into elegance. 95/100

-- Decanter: Campo di Magnacosta is the lightest and more feminine Cabernet Franc of Trinoro’s cru (Magnacosta, Camagi, Tenaglia) based on this grape variety. It is a 1.5 hectare parcel of river gravel and silt on the valley's bottom, where an old stream ate into a hill (hence the name: magna is eat and costa is hillside). It was planted over 20 years ago with cuttings from a vineyard in Pomerol. Intense and elegant on the nose with an intriguing restrained brumble fruit, dried eucalyptus and spices, it combines great fruit definition and creamy palate with tight-knit tannins and lively acidity in background. Warm on the finish, yet well balanced. 95/100

-- Galloni: The 2018 Campo di Magnacosta is ample and expressive, with a real sense of textural breadth that distinguishes it in this range. Super-ripe dark cherry, gravel, mint, spice and leather tones give the 2018 striking complexity. Incisive tannins need time to soften. Readers who can wait will be rewarded with a fabulous, deeply expressive wine. The 2018 Campo di Magnacosta is 100% Cabernet Franc from a site on an old river bed. 94/100
