-- Parker: The 2015 Late Bottled Vintage Port (Quinta Vale d. Maria) is a field blend aged for 20 months—eight in stainless steel and 12 months in very old and neutral wood. Unfiltered, it comes in with 94 grams of sugar and a long cork. It was bottled in July 2019. Not as developed as the 2014 this issue, this nonetheless offers more tannic pop and richness. It has fine grip on the finish and fine fruit. It was better a couple of days later, actually—far more expressive. It had fleshed out too, showing a more solid mid-palate. This actually needs a year or three in the cellar, although you could easily approach it now. It should age very well. It plainly surpasses the 2014 qualitatively this issue. It is a fine effort from the producer. It might well improve. There were 6,000 bottles produced. 91/100

-- Weingut: This wine has a dark color. In the nose, it is very expressive mainly due to the complexity of grape varieties but also due to its ageing in oak barrels. This wine shows notes of black mature fruit, with a dominance of blackberries, black cherries, plums and cassis. Elegant and soft, this Quinta Vale D. Maria LBV Porto 2015 is well-balanced and delicate with a lingering and fruity finish.
