Wine&Spirits über:
Kamptal Grüner Veltliner Ried Renner ÖTW Erste Lage
-- Wine&Spirits: Renner was planted in the 1950s with an old clone of grüner veltliner; the site lies at the foot of the Gaisberg, where the soil has eroded to create a deep well of loess, sand and stone. That rich earth is reflected in the bodacious ripeness of this wine, but for every drop of sweet, fleshy fruit, there’s an equally robust complement of minerality, saline and firm. The wine builds with gregarious energy, arms open wide, ready to meet a roast chicken and root vegetables tonight. Or cellar it, as it’s certain to age well. 94/100
