Ermitage Le Meal
-- Parker: One of the finest wines I have yet tasted from Ferraton is the 2011 Ermitage Le Meal, a great site on Hermitage Hill, and the vineyard that is largely responsible for Paul Jaboulet’s Hermitage La Chapelle. Ferraton’s 2011 Le Meal exhibits a black/purple color in addition to copious aromas of sweet blueberry and blackberry liqueur intermixed with incense, vanillin, espresso, truffles and pen ink. Thick, full-bodied and rich with decent acidity as well as velvety tannins, this massively endowed wine should be drinkable in 4-5 years, and last for 2-3 decades. 95-97/100
