-- Galloni: Deep magenta. A highly complex bouquet evokes ripe red berries, cherry preserves, potpourri and incense. Exotic spice and mineral nuances build with air. Sweet, smoky and broad in the mouth, the intense, spice-tinged red and blue fruit, spicecake and cola flavors show fine definition and back-end lift. Blends concentration and energy with a sure hand and finishes on a resonating floral note with superb, youthfully tannic persistence. All whole clusters and raised in oak barrels, 20% of them new. 93-95/100

-- Jeb Dunnuck: Almost all Grenache, the 2021 Gigondas La Font De Tonin is more modern (it sees a little bit of new barrels), with a solid sheen of classy oak in its ripe raspberry, violet, and peppery, spice-driven aromatics. These carry over to the palate, where the wine is medium-bodied and has fine, polished tannins, terrific balance, and outstanding length. It's going to integrate its oak with just 2-3 years of bottle age and drink nicely over the following decade. It's up with the top wines in the vintage. 92-94/100
