Heiner Lobenberg über:
Chateauneuf du Pape blanc 2012

95–96
/100

Sehr interessante Nase: Quitte, Marille, reife Birne, weißes Steinobst, weißer Pfirsich, etwas Aprikose, Anis, Ananas, fast ein klein wenig an Chardonnay erinnernd, etwas Feuerstein. Extrem dramatischer und vibrierender Wein. Aromatisch, tief, dicht. 95-96/100

Parker über: Chateauneuf du Pape blanc

-- Parker: Looking at Paul-Vincent’s Chateauneufs, and a rich, voluptuous example of this cuvee that possesses great acidity, the 2012 Chateauneuf-du-Pape Blanc offers up ripe stone fruits, white currants, honeysuckle and licorice to go with a full-bodied, rich and powerful profile on the palate that somehow stays beautifully fresh and focused. It’s a gorgeous wine that can be consumed in its fresh and vibrant youth, or cellared for a decade or two. It’s a knockout white that should not be missed! Drink now-2032. 94/100

WS über: Chateauneuf du Pape blanc

-- WS: A bracing, pure style, with a tightly coiled core of talc, honeysuckle, kaffir lime and white peach notes. Sleek and racy, with a stony accent inlaid on the finish, adding extra detail and range. Shows the latent depth and the purity to develop steadily in the cellar. Drink now through 2021. 93/100

Robinson über: Chateauneuf du Pape blanc

-- Robinson: Bottled in March. No oak, a blend of the six cépages. Coulure affected Grenache Blanc. Very ripe and powerful but Bourboulenc and Picpoul (which is ripe at 12.5%) kept the wine fresh. Clairette and Picardan give elegance. Herbal and well mannered on the nose. Big and round with great satin texture but lots of green fruits and freshness. There's a smoky note and a quince flavour with some minerality. This wine may be low alcohol but it's still very refreshing. Vincent says fine white Châteauneufs need glycerol. I have given dates for its first drinking period. It is highly likely to have a second one. 18/20
