Lobenberg: Prieuré Lichine ist nur in großen, warmen Jahren richtig gut. Aber das liegt 2016 ja vor. Die Nase ist erstaunlich fein, wenig süß, sehr poliert. Überwiegend schwarze Frucht, sehr fein. Der Mund erstaunlich köstlich und fein. Prieuré Lichine kenne ich auch durchaus überextrahiert und zu wuchtig. Das ist 2016 nicht der Fall. Wir haben hier ein wunderbares Potpourri aus schwarzen Früchten, unterlegt mit Sauerkirsche, eine schöne Frische, alles ist sehr fein, stilsicher, mit tollem Geradeauslauf. Fein verwobener, sehr schicker, aromatischer Margaux mit total polierten Tanninen. Das ist richtig stylisch! Ein feiner und schicker Margaux. Ich bin für Prieuré-Lichine-Verhältnisse ziemlich begeistert. 95+/100

-- Decanter: Rich and velvety red in colour with deep violet reflections, the brushed velvet appearance carries over to the texture on the palate. A good lineup of fruit flavours are joined by sweet softness through the mid-palate that widens things out rather than dips, and there's a slow build to the finish. Matured in 50% new oak. 2016 yielded 43hl/ha. 94/100

Der berühmte Wein-Journalist russischer Abstammung Alexis Lichine (1913-1989) übernahm es im Jahre 1951. Damals hieß es noch Château Prieuré-Cantenac, den heutigen Namen...
