Lobenberg: 85% Merlot, 14% CF. Ernteertrag unter 30 hl/ha, der Verrieselung der Blüte und dem Mehltau sei gedankt. Sehr schöne, rot- und schwarzfruchtige Nase, rote Waldbeeren stehen erstaunlicher Weise für einen satten Pomerol im Vordergrund. Frische Pflaume und Kirsche, feinste Harmonie wie ein VCC. Auch im Mund diese feine rote Frucht, viel Kirsche, süßes Cassis und rote Johannisbeere, schönes Volumen zeigend, Brombeere dann im voluminösen Nachhall. Präsente und frische Säure, aber nicht aggressiv, sondern gut eingebunden. Sehr geschliffenes, poliertes Tannin ohne jede grüne Note. Die Frische überwiegt bei diesem Ausnahme-Conseillante, reife Frucht ohne Überreife, tolle Harmonie und Balance, erwartet hohe Lebensdauer, in der Typizität sehr ähnlich dem Guillot Clauzel, macht Freude und wird ein superber Trinkwein werden. 94+/100

It has a complex, mature bouquet of sweet red and black currants, white truffles, incense, and spice. This carries to a medium to full-bodied Pomerol that has a great, mineral-laced finish that makes you salivate. This elegant yet showy effort is drinking fabulous well today yet will have no issues keeping for another 10-15 years. Tasted 02/2019 95/100
