Lobenberg: Was für eine wunderschöne Nase, hohe Aromatik! Wie immer der kleine Mouton Rothschild. Der Wein ist pikant, macht viel Freude. Komplex, so viel Kirsche, Salz und Mineralität, dazu ein frischer, rassiger Cabernet-Mund. Rote Paprika - reif, und trotzdem grandiose Säure und Salz aufweisend. Schöne Länge und in seiner klassischen Art noch leicht über dem d'Armailhac aus gleichem Hause. Schöner Erfolg, ein toller Wein. Dieser große Clerc Milon erinnert durchaus an große Jahre wir 1986 und 1996. 94-96/100

-- Gerstl: Das ist sehr typisch Pauillac, was aus diesem Glas strahlt, schwarze Frucht, tiefgründig, wirkt sehr klassisch, strahlt Reife aus. Ein Kraftbündel, schön schlank und die Eleganz in den Mittelpunkt stellend, ein Klassiger, der an der 86er erinnert. Etwas feiner gewoben, als letzterer, dürfte er diesen sogar noch übetreffen. 18+/20

-- Falstaff: Sehr intensiver Duft, Kaltmazeration, frischfruchtig nach Cassis, aber ohne reduktive Untertöne, Sandelholz, Thymian, Grafit. Am Gaumen ein straffer Gerbstoffkern, leicht grün, aber dadurch auch frisch, Fruchtbegleitung besser als mittel, viel Saft und Nerv, aromatisch hoch dotiert, inhaltsreicher Wein. Etwas Holztannin zuletzt, aber sowohl strukturelle als auch aromatische Länge sind ausgezeichnet. 93-95/100

-- Gabriel: Sattes Purpur-Granat, dicht in der Mitte, lila Schimmer aussen. Fein würziges, blaubeeriges Bouquet, in gewisser Weise erinnert dieser Clerc-Milon in der Nase an einen wunderschönen, chilenischen Cabernet, weil er feine Eucalyptusspuren in sich birgt. Im Gaumen Black Currant, mit einer schönen Ration Fleisch bestückt, die gut stützenden Tannine sind bereits etwas angerundet. Das ist heuer ein ganz grossartiger Pauillac-Value! Drei Mal verkostet. 18/20

-- Parker: The 2014 Clerc Milon is more backward on the nose compared to the d'Armailhac: quite sumptuous in style with black fruit, dark plum, vanilla and a pungent violet scent. The palate is wonderful: a fabulous line of acidity, tensile and focused, mineral and intense with blackberry, citrus fruit, bilberry and cedar towards the elegant, yet intense finish. There is something almost Lafite-like about this Clerc-Milon and in my book, there is nothing wrong with that. 92/100

-- Galloni: Dark red cherry, plum, smoke, tobacco, new leather and licorice flesh out in the 2014 Clerc Milon. Deep and pliant to the core, the 2014 boasts notable resonance from start to finish. Although not a huge wine, the 2014 is long on finesse and class, with silky tannins that balance some of the more overt elements. Hints of cedar, tobacco, earthiness and herbs add the final shades of dimension. Today, the 2014 is quite inward and not fully expressive, but it is nevertheless absolutely impeccable. The blend is 58% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Merlot, 11% Cabernet Franc, 1% Petit Verdot and 1% Carmenère. -- Antonio Galloni 91-94/100

Direkt neben Mouton-Rothschild und Lafite-Rothschild liegt Château Clerc-Milon-Rothschild. Das Gut, ein fünftes Cru in der Klassifikation von 1855, wurde 1970 von dem mittlerweile verstorbenen Baron Philippe de Rothschild erworben.
