Lobenberg: Beychevelle ist ein sehr rares und kultiges Weingut. Sehr gesucht und trotzdem schwer zu finden. 2019, dieses wahnsinnig frische Jahr, hat auch Beychevelle einen wunderbaren Wein gemacht, einen sehr feinen Wein. Voll auf schwarzer Kirsche laufend, aber nicht fett, sondern ganz fein. Sehr poliert, sehr elegant, fast schlank in der Nase. Feine Veilchennote dahinter, schick. Wunderbare Frische im Mund. Wieder diese schlanke schwarze Frucht. Schwarze Kirsche, etwas Brombeere, Cassis und Lakritze. Aber nichts Fettes, trotzdem eine schöne Süße zeigend. Im Nachhall eine hohe Intensität, wieder mit Lakritze, Salz, süßer schwarzer Kirsche und Cassis. Ein leckerer Beychevelle mit Biss, guter Spannung und hoher Energie. Eben 2019. Toller Wein für ein langes Leben. 97-98/100

Deep purple-colored, with classic Saint-Julien purity and elegance, it offers full-bodied aromas and flavors of red, blue, and black fruits, cedary herbs, spring flowers, graphite, and earth. With flawless balance, ultra-fine tannins, and again, and stunning purity of fruit, this quintessential Beychevelle is going to benefit from 7-8 years of bottle age and cruise for 20-30 years in cold cellars. 95-97/100

The palate is beautifully balanced with finely-sculpted tannins, wonderful balance, fresh and mineral-driven with a precise and complex finish. Superb sapidity, this is top notch with a long future ahead. Time to raise my score. Tasted blind at the Southwold annual tasting. 96/100

-- Wine Cellar Insider: Deep in color, with a floral, blackberry, cedar, cherry, cocoa and tobacco leaf nose. On the palate, the wine is soft, polished, elegant and with depth of flavor. There is freshness, a good mid-palate, length, purity and loads of sweet black and dark red fruits with silky tannins in the finish. Made from blending 46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 49% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc and reaching 13.7% alcohol with a pH of 3.77, the harvest took place September 23 to October 11. 50% of the harvest was placed into the Grand Vin. 95-97/100

The medium-bodied palate injects fantastic energy into the decadent black and blue fruit flavors, framed by exquisitely ripe, finely-grained tannins and bold freshness, finishing with great length and freshness. 94-96/100

Das ist ein wunderschöner, superdelikater Beychevelle, schmilzt so herrlich auf der Zunge, ganz fein strukturiert, genial saftig, verführerische innere Wärme, der ist ja unfassbar gut und richtig spannend, energiegeladen, ein Gänsehautwein. 19+/20
