Lobenberg: Modern, vital, lebhaft. Dog Points Chardonnay liegt geschmacklich zwischen Pouilly-Fuissé und Mâcon. Zarte Zitrusnoten, mit gerösteten Haselnüssen und Ananas. Die alten Reben bringen enorm duftige, florale Akzente und zugleich recht dichte, reife gelbe und weiße Frucht, ein fruchtig sehr reichhaltiger Wein mit satter Mineralität. Hocharomatischer Mund, Zitronengras umspielt würzig gekochte Birne, weißen Pfirsich mit einem Hauch Litschi und Melone dazu. Der sehr moderate Einsatz von neuen Eichenholzfässern gibt dem Chardonnay eine subtile Note von Holzkohle und die richtige phenolische Struktur und Länge. 94+/100

-- Suckling: Inviting aromas of flint, matchstick, grated nutmeg, dried lemon rind and sliced grapefruit. Medium-bodied with silky texture. Fresh and bright fruit turns more savory with herbs and spice coming to the forefront. Layered. Tannic, tight finish. From organically grown grapes. Drink now. Screw cap. 94/100

Parker über: Chardonnay

-- Parker: The 2020 Chardonnay is reductive and flinty on the nose and leads with lashings of crushed nuts, curry leaf, cap gun, yellow flesh peach, salted apples and brine. In the mouth, the wine is mouthfilling and bony in the very best of ways, with rich fruit that provides a chorus through the finish. Is it so reductive and worked that it will polarize? Possibly. Probably. Do I love it? Yes. Horses for courses. This is classy wine with lots to touch and feel. I bet it ages well, too. 13.5% alcohol, sealed under screw cap. 94/100

-- Galloni: The 2020 Chardonnay is firm, concentrated and driven. It has a rich aromatic expression that's exceedingly young and puppy-like in its exuberance from the toasted hazelnuts of oak to smoky bacon hints and a salty note overlaying nectarine fruit flavors. It is not backward in coming forward but it is pure, lively and purposeful with plenty of interesting layers. A Chardonnay that will reward cellaring. 93/100
