Lobenberg: Lange hatten wir die Champagner von Veuve Clicquot nicht verkostet – zu Unrecht musste ich feststellen, als wir die neuen Vintageabfüllungen aus dem Top-Jahr 2012 auf dem Tisch stehen hatten. Wie auch beim weißen Pendant, setzt sich die Assemblage zu 51% aus Pinot Noir, 34% Chardonnay und 15% Pinot Meunier zusammen. Ausschließlich aus Premier und Grand Cru Parzellen. Hier beim Rosé wird die Cuvée zudem durch einen Rotweinanteil aus Bouzy ergänzt, der besten Appellation für Pinot Noir in der Champagne. Super elegante Nase von Schwarzkirsche, Pflaume und Brioche. Unterlegt von feinen Röstaromen und etwas Vanille. Aromatisch geht das am Gaumen so weiter: Saftige Schwarzkirsche, auch Sauerkirsche und Walderdbeere. Überraschend straffe Tanninstruktur, wirklich viel Grip und große Länge. Wow, ist das lang und zupackend! Ein anspruchsvoller Rosé Champagner aus einem großen Jahr, wie ich ihn von Veuve Clicquot zuvor noch nicht verkostet habe. Ich bin wirklich beeindruckt. 95/100

-- Decanter: This is the 66th rosé from Veuve Clicquot since 1810. It is 51% Pinot Noir, 34% Chardonnay and 15% Pinot Meunier, with 13% of red wine from Pinot Noir sourced in Bouzy. Elegant, smoky notes of griottes, red cherry, rose petal and red berries. Some hints of blood orange emerge from the glass with air. The natural richness of 2012 gives a vinous texture, brightness, and balance. Vibrant and lively finish with floral kisses and toast hints. Very elegant. 95/100
