Lobenberg: Herrlich aromatische Nase und dabei so wunderbar frisch. Reifer Apfel und warme Birnentöne, dazu sehr feines Kräuterspiel. Und auch im Mund ein tolles Wechselspiel zwischen warmer, weicher Fülle und animierender feiner Säure. Satter Apfel und reife Birne. Neben der Kräutrigkeit der Nase kommen so ganz zarte Biskuit-Aromen dazu, nur dezent, aber doch spürbar. Die Frischenoten sind reife Grapefruit und feine Limette, garniert mit einem Hauch Minze. Bleibt ordentlich lange am Gaumen und wirkt auch schon so jung wunderbar trinkfertig. Kann natürlich locker ein paar Jahre liegen. Macht aber durchaus schon Spaß. 92-93/100

-- Decanter: Billaud-Simon have some of the best vineyards in Chablis, from generic right up to Grand Cru level. This highly enjoyable, unoaked white uses fruit from five different parcels and is a very well-balanced white that's typical of the earlier picked cuvées in 2018, combining nectarine and citrus flavours with a hint of boiled sweets and supporting acidity. 91/100

Lemon peel, mint and white flowers all grace this very pretty, perfumed entry-level Chablis. The richness and radiance of 2018 are evident, and yet there is a good bit of freshness as well. The Chablis is a blend of estate fruit, purchased fruit and purchased wine, vinified and aged exclusively in tank. 90/100
