Lobenberg: Sehr frisch und animierend in der Nase. Quitte, Zitrusaromen und ein Hauch Holunder. Am Gaumen sehr klar und gradlinig mit schönem inneren Nerv und feinem Charakter. Hier schmeckt man den kühlen Chardonnay wunderbar raus, obwohl er auch deutliche Affinitäten zu Riesling hat. Der leichte Barriqueeinsatz wird klar von der reinen und klaren Frucht und der organischen Mineralität überdeckt. Den Abgang bestimmt dann klar seine feine Mineralik, die dann schon wieder fest im Burgund verortet ist. Dieser 'Einsteiger' nötigt einem schon einiges an Respekt ab und ist in dieser Preisklasse schon eine kleine Sensation. 92+/100

-- Katalog: -- JG: As I have noted in the past, the Terroir de Courgis bottling hails from fifty-plus year-old vines in the village of Préhy, near to Domaine Jean-Marc Brocard, and this is the most structured and probably the deepest of the five excellent villages bottlings from Domaine Piuze in 2012. The bouquet is a bit more reserved than the above, but deep and nascently complex in its mélange of apple, pear, lemon zest, lovely, flinty minerality and upper end smokiness. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and will be quite complex when it blossoms, with a fine core, excellent focus and balance, very good acidity and superb length and grip on the still fairly youthful finish. Of all of these fine 2012 villages bottlings, this is one I would tuck away for a year or two before broaching. 91/100

-- Internet: -- Parker: From relatively clay-rich soils, Piuze’s 2012 Chablis Terroir de Courgis displays unusually bright, tart lemon and apple even by vintage standards, yet there is also a surprising suggestion of mid-palate lushness. And while the flavors here are – for now, anyway – quite straightforward and incorporate only hints of chalky or salty Chablis typicity, there is admirable energy and sheer persistence. I’d like to taste this again later this year and suspect there will be more to it then, and that the wine will be worth following through at least 2015. -- -- Galloni: The 2012 Chablis Terroir de Courgis is decidedly cool, inward and precise. A bit reticent for the year, the 2012 is laced with pear, green apple and floral notes, but it is the wine's bright, salivating acidity, along with its underlying structure that stand out most.
