The creamy, resonant finish is a clue the wine was done entirely in oak, but there is otherwise very little evidence of wood here. The Blanchots Vieilles Vignes is one of the highlights in this range. 94/100

Sweet, spicy, intense and penetrating, showing a slight youthful bitterness to the tight flavors of lemon, chalk and salty minerality. This wine was bottled just prior to my visit and already seems to be shutting down. 92+/100

-- Parker: The 2012 Chablis Grand Cru Les Blanchots Vieilles Vignes (one assumes there is more than one old vine, but that is how the label reads) has a deft, defined and focused bouquet with delicate floral notes intertwined with the citrus fruits and orange blossom. The palate is well-defined with a sharp citrus entry, crisp acidity and a tense and long finish that will offer more with two or three years in bottle. This has great potential. 92+/100
