Lobenberg: Im Nasenbild sehr fleischig, dabei hoch komplex. Alles wechselt zwischen rohem und gegrilltem Fleisch und Beerenaromen hin und her. Am Gaumen kompakt und gleichzeitig fein, immer eleganter werdend um dann in einen sehr feinen Gerbstoff überzuleiten, dann immer fester werdend, sehr präzise und lang. Dieser Wein hat eine ganz eigene Stilistik: sehr modern im Holzeinsatz, dabei beerig und intensiv, große Frische, Sangiovese in bester Form, samtig und vollmundig, sehr kompakt und überschwänglich, verführerisch und aromatisch, extrem vielschichtig. 97-98+/100

-- Suckling: This has a beautiful, complex bouquet of dried herbs, white truffles, asphalt, cherry stones, peppercorns, spice and tea leaves. It’s full-bodied with firm, tight and very focused tannins. Bright. Layered. So much going on. I like the salty character. The finish starts slow and is almost endless. Fantastic to taste already, but will just get better. 99/100

-- Parker: The Neri family has created a classic expression of Sangiovese from a classic vintage, while remaining faithful to the house style. In a nutshell, these wines always tend to offer dark plum, clove and fig confit over the tiny berry and blue flower aromas you get from the traditionalists. That said, this Brunello needs ample time to open, and I suggest you splash it into the decanter. The Casanova di Neri 2015 Brunello di Montalcino (this is the one with the white label) stays safely within your expectation of the vintage with its variety-driven aromas of wild berry, licorice, blue flower and balsam herb. This wine sees fruit sourced from a vineyard on the northeast side of Montalcino, with Galestro soils ranging from 330 to 480 meters above sea level. Some 95,376 bottles were made. It was bottled in June 2019, and it hit the market in January 2020. You might want more from the aromatics (while you wait for the bouquet to come around), but this wine goes gangbusters in terms of mid-palate and overall texture. 98+/100

Am Gaumen zupackendes, herzhaftes Tannin, salzig, sehr tiefgründig und mit viel Spannung, im Finale fester Druck, sehr langer Nachhall mit viel präsenter Frucht. 98/100

-- International Wine Report: The 2015 'Tenuta Nuova' Brunello di Montalcino is an utterly brilliant release from Casanova di Neri. Year after year Tenuta Nuova is amongst the top wines from Montalcino, and there is absolutely no exception in this fabulous vintage. This magnificant Brunello begins to impress as it opens to striking aromatics of fresh crushed blackberries and dark cherries which are laced with spices, herbs, licorice and fresh wild flowers that all build in the glass. On the palate this is impeccably structured, with beautifully polished, silky tannins that make for an absolutely gorgeous mouthfeel. This goes on to impress as it displays remarkable overall balance and poise with a beautiful core of ripe red and dark fruits that are underlined by a gorgeous mineral streak which persists through the long, graceful finish. This is simply thrilling today, however it also possesses the potential to evolve beautifully for decades to come. Simply put, this is an absolutly sensational Brunello that has it all, and should go down as one of the greatest vintages of Tenuta Nuova ever made. 98/100

Beautifully complex aromatically, it hits the palate with full-bodied richness as well as a weightless, elegant texture that carries sweet tannins. 97/100
