Lobenberg: In französischem und amerikanischem Barrique ausgebaut, zuvor im Zement mit etwas Rappenanteil vergoren. Himbeere und Brombeere von Grenache und Shiraz bestimmen diesen interessanten Blend. Sehr schöne würzige Kräuter, schwarze und grüne Oliven, Schiefer und Graphit, weiche samtige Tannine bei mittlerem Körper. Ein total seidiger Charmeur, spannend und vibrierend dabei. Ein Wein mit Klasse. 93-94/100

Plenty deep but comes off lively and delivers strong, spicy thrust and repeating florality on an extremely long, gently tannic finish. 93/100

It's medium to full-bodied, rounded and approachable, but with the concentration and balance to drink well through at least 2030. Just 100 cases imported to the U.S., so it may not be the easiest Penfolds offering to track down. 91/100
