Lobenberg: Faszinierende Mischung aus schwarzen Früchten wie Brombeere, schwarze Maulbeere und roten Nuancen von Johannisbeere und Kirsche. Tiefe, schöne Nase. Auch frische Noten von Minze und Bergamotte darunter. Im Mund dann satte Kirsche mit Schlehe und Johannisbeere. Druckvoll mit geschliffenen Tanninen und frisch durch perfekt eingebauter viriler Säure. Herrlich mundwässernde Mineralik. Erst prickelnd am Gaumen, dann seidige Phenole. Assoziationen von Tee und rotem Fleisch ergänzen das Bild. Durchaus körperreich mit Stehvermögen. Das Gesamtbild ist jung, knackig frisch und pure Energie. 94/100

-- Parker: The 2013 Fleurie Grille-Midi comes from the warmest part of the parcels from vines over 60 years of age on shallow soils. It has a complex bouquet with broody dark cherry, red plum and undergrowth scents that burst forth with just a few swirls of the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red berry fruit with a saline tincture. This is very well poised with a dash of white pepper sprinkled over the tannic finish. More masculine than Jean-Paul Brun’s Fleurie, this will give a decade of pleasure. 93/100

A perfumed, complex bouquet displays intense dark berry compote, cherry pit and spicecake aromas, along with notes of anise and dried violet. Chewy and spicy on the palate, offering sweet blackberry and floral pastille flavors underscored by smoky minerals. Dusty tannins build slowly through the finish, which shows excellent clarity and power, leaving sappy dark fruit and allspice notes behind. -- Josh Raynolds 92/100
