Lobenberg: Eine unglaubliche Feinheit steigt in die Nase. Das ist so grandios in seiner Mineralität, in der Wärme und in der Frucht. Aber wir sind hier gar nicht fett. Sehr geschliffen und poliert. Aufgelöste Marzipankerne mit roter Frucht und ganz viel Kirsche. Dazu ganz helle Lakritze. Fein, salzig, schön lang. Hohe Intensität, ein unglaubliches Finessewunder schon in der Nase. So tänzelnd, so reich, und trotzdem doch so fein bleibend. Wow, dieser Mundeintritt. Neben dieser unglaublich rotfruchtigen Cremigkeit einen salzig frischen Terroir-Mineralabdruck zeigt, der wirklich immens ist. Salz, Kalkstein vom weißen Lehm. Das Ganze so verspielt, so fein, so komplett. Grandios, lang, dicht, mineralisch, frisch und doch so süß, und doch so charmant. 96+/100

-- Parker: The 2015 Barolo Castiglione is a soft and elegant expression with marked freshness and delineated fruit. Indeed, Luca Currado maintains that 2015 was not a hot vintage per se, and any jammy notes that might appear in the vintage may have to do with an overzealous approach to leaf pulling during the summer season. Old habits die hard, he says, and leaving the leaves intact contributes to the color stabilization of the wine and the successful management of its acidity. From an analytical point of view, this wine does flaunt that much-needed inner crispness. It adds focus and sharpness to the layers of dark, succulent fruit that appear on first nose. 94/100
