Lobenberg: Bric Turot ist eine DER klassischen Lagen in Barbaresco und Prunottos Aushängeschild. 5 Hektar auf 200 Höhenmetern. Exposition von Südwest bis Südost, ein Amphitheater. Der Name bedeutet Gipfel eines Hügels, das Terroir besteht aus Kalkstein und Mergel mit etwas Sand. Ein Garant für besonders feine Weine. Granatrot bis Rubinrot. Elegantes, feines Bouquet, unterlegt von Sauerkirsche, Hagebutte und Waldbeeren, dazu Zimt, Rosen und Veilchen. Teeblätter und Eisen. Erdbeere. Feine Tannine, bitter-süß und kühle Mineralität, sehr komplex, sehr lang. Aber natürlich 2016, darauf muss man schon warten, großer Stoff. 96+/100

-- Suckling: I like the nutty red-fruit character to this youthful Barbaresco. Some spicy, meaty aromas lurk under the surface, waiting to emerge. Medium-bodied, compact and full of flavor. The tannins are fine and quite firm, exerting a tight grip on the finish for now. Give it a while to settle in. Best from 2023. 94/100

-- Galloni: The 2018 Barbaresco Bric Turot is the most potent of the Prunotto Barbarescos I tasted. Spice, leather, cedar and tobacco lend striking aromatic presence. This deceptively mid-weight Barbaresco offers plenty of intensity. Readers should be prepared to cellar it for at least a few years. The Bric Turot is the sort of wine that constantly changes in the glass, which makes it elusive and yet captivating, in the way only Nebbiolo can be. 93/100

Alfredo Prunotto verhalf im Jahre 1923 der nach dem 1. Weltkrieg in Schwierigkeiten geratenen Genossenschaftskellerei »Vine delle Langhe« in Alba zu neuem Leben. Der sehr junge Alfredo war seit Beginn der 1904 in Serralunga gegründeten Genossenschaft ihr Sekretär und Berater.
