Lobenberg: Der Bürgergarten ist seit jeher die Paradelage des Traditionsbetriebes, hier her stammt auch das große Gewächs. Um seinen Kellermeister gebührend zu feiern, hat Philipp David Catoir diese limitierte Sammlerkiste mit einer Vertikale von je einer Flasche aus den 6 zurückliegenden Jahrgängen aufgelegt. Wie gut die Jahre von 2017 bis 2022 allesamt waren, verdeutlicht nochmals eindrücklich, auf welchem Höhenflug sich der deutsche Wein zur Zeit befindet und wie jahrgangsgetreu und präzise der talentierte Moselaner Martin Franzen das Haardter Terroir beherrscht, das er nach über zwei Jahrzehnten kennt wie seine Westentasche. Eine geniale Reise, die mit dieser Kiste nun schmeckbar und sammelbar wird! 94-96

Full-bodied and powerful with a serious tannin structure, but there’s a wealth of finely tuned acidity behind that. So deep and so vibrant, but it’s the elegance that makes it shine like a diamond. Very long, silky finish that doesn’t want to let go. From organically grown grapes. Stunning balance of ripe yet finely nuanced fruit and elegant acidity that then tightens to a long and pointed mineral finish that takes your breath away. Drink or hold. 95/100 * Suckling zu 2021: A stunning single-vineyard dry riesling with apricot and mango aromas plus a wonderful harmony of ripeness and freshness on the generous and concentrated palate.
