Lobenberg: Clos Du Bourg ist etwas steiniger mit Tuffstein und auch meist der kräftigste Wein bei Huet. Die Aromatik ist anders als beim filigranen Le Haut-Lieu etwas erdiger und dunkler. Ich habe hier vor allem die typische Quittennote, dann weiße Blüten, auch etwas grüner Apfel und rauchige Noten. Am Gaumen besticht der Clos du Bourg mit stahliger Säure, markantem Gerüst und feinen Apfelnoten 95-96/100

--- Parker: Huet's 2016 Vouvray Clos du Bourg Sec is clear, pure, fine and fresh on the chalky-mineral, delicately fruity nose. Medium-bodied, round and fruity with good mineral grip and tension but also a charming sweet creaminess, the 2016 is a very elegant and pretty complex Chenin Blanc from the chalky soils of the Clos de Bourg. The salty, persistent finish is aromatic, lush and well structured, indicating a certain sweetness, good grip and very promising aging potential. 92/100

-- Jancis Robinson: Something a tiny bit oxidative on the nose, giving a bruised apple sort of character, but then wonderfully pronounced stone fruit comes through on the palate, with a touch of honey and honeysuckle. Lip-smacking acidity is well balanced with the fleshy body. 17,5/20

----- Weingut: After an ideal growing season in 2015, 2016 did indeed bring its complications, but as there are no shadows without light, the small quantities produced are balanced with a very special quality. We classify the 2016 growing season with one word, exceptional :- exceptional, like the frost of 27 April 2016, that outlined the first traces of the vintage, reducing 50% of future bunches- exceptional, like the immense precipitation of spring- exceptional, like the period of drought that began in July and lasted through November- exceptional, like the magnificently luminous sky under which we harvested for three weeks, beginning October 6 Beautiful conditions prior to and during harvest allowed us to make multiple passes through the vineyards, thereby granting us the ability to produce our entire range of still wines from Sec to Cuvée Constance. Sparkling wine was not made in 2016.
