Parker über: Vouvray Le Clos du Bourg Moelleux (fruchtsüß)

-- Parker: The 2016 Vouvray Clos du Bourg Moelleaux is tropical and slightly oaky on the complex, spicy-mineral nose. Rich, super lush and nicely piquant toward the finish, this is an excellent, complex, well-structured and mineral though young baby Chenin Blanc that doesn't make much sense to be drunk young. The finish is pure, piquant and salty but also very aromatic and complex, with lingering tannin grip and intense fruit. Bottled with 57 grams of residual sugar and just 4.3 grams of acidity, which gives this a charming and mouth-filling character. Fine tannin structure here. Tasted February 2018. 93/100

Winespectator über: Vouvray Le Clos du Bourg Moelleux (fruchtsüß)

-- Winespectator: A stunner, with beautiful pear, green fig, yellow apple and quince notes that are creamy and sweet, yet seamless and refined in feel. The extremely long finish lets honeysuckle and verbena notes dance throughout, with a light echo of white ginger at the very end. Best from 2020 through 2040. 97/100

Weingut über: Vouvray Le Clos du Bourg Moelleux (fruchtsüß)

-- Weingut: After an ideal growing season in 2015, 2016 did indeed bring its complications, but as there are no shadows without light, the small quantities produced are balanced with a very special quality. We classify the 2016 growing season with one word, exceptional :- exceptional, like the frost of 27 April 2016, that outlined the first traces of the vintage, reducing 50% of future bunches- exceptional, like the immense precipitation of spring- exceptional, like the period of drought that began in July and lasted through November- exceptional, like the magnificently luminous sky under which we harvested for three weeks, beginning October 6 Beautiful conditions prior to and during harvest allowed us to make multiple passes through the vineyards, thereby granting us the ability to produce our entire range of still wines from Sec to Cuvée Constance. Sparkling wine was not made in 2016.
