Lobenberg: 'Geiler Stoff' ist ja eigentlich nicht mein Sprachgebrauch... aber hier muss es sein! Winzige Erträge aus alter Teroldego, gepflanzt auf Fluss-Schwemmland, eine sandige und warme Lage. Biodynamie im Weinberg und Keller. Acht Monate Maischegärung in der Ampore. Es ist der archetypischere Granato, mehr Goudron, mehr rauchig schwarze Pflaume und Kirsche, schwarze Erde und urwüchsige Kraft mit irre langem, etwas animalischen Nachhall und grandioser Mineralität. Ein Touch Zitronengras, ein wenig Assamtee, das Ganze hat auch durchaus Hintergründigkeit und Frische. Der Granato ist größer und feiner, aber der Morei strotzt vor Persönlichkeit. So soll es sein, geiler Stoff eben. 95-96/100

-- Suckling: A giant wave of ripe forest-berry aromas pours from the glass of this sensationally concentrated and silky teroldego red. There’s plenty of fresh tannin, but its already so well integrated that it feels like one of the fundamental forces of nature. Super-long, fine-grained, crushed-stone finish. From biodynamically grown grapes with Demeter certification. Drink or hold. 96/100

-- Galloni: The 2020 Teroldego Morei is dark and inward, slowly blossoming in the glass with black cherries, balsam herbs, hints of cinnamon and clove. This is round in feel, yet with a reverberation of zesty acidity and inner spice. Depths of dark red fruits and minerals settle upon the senses, along with a coating of sweet tannin. Wow, the result is quite stunning, with a chiseled and almost-teeth-chattering feel through the finale. The 2020 is a very exciting vintage for Morei; a boost of warm vintage fruit adds depth to its usually-inward and structured persona. Enjoy a bottle now, but lose the rest for a few years in the cellar. 94/100

-- Jancis Robinson: Deep crimson. Slightly darker fruited and with less of the floral note of the Sgarzon 2020, just a touch of peony, more mineral (an impression of rock dust), sober, perhaps a little bigger in the mouth than the Sgarzon – the alcohol is a tiny bit higher but still pretty modest. Firmer, more rounded tannins but still extremely fine, and they are deeper and denser. Like the Sgarzon, there is outstanding purity and refinement. Beautifully fresh even if the freshness is less immediate than in the Sgarzon, it carries through on the long, long finish. Such incredible elegance in a young wine and the most delicious, dry, non-sweet and yet fruit-laden finish. 18/20
