-- Galloni: The maiden 2017 Nuits Saint-Georges Clos des Forêts Cuvée Hors Ligne 1er Cru contains 75% whole clusters, although frankly, it seems half that. The knockout bouquet of black cherries, raspberry coulis and minerals is more floral than the regular cuvée. The palate is very well balanced, displaying fine mineralité and good tension. Quite dense and unquestionably more sinewy than the regular cuvée toward the finish. Superb. 93-95/100

-- Decanter: A cuvée that was last made in 1969, this is an older-vine selection from the Clos, made with 75% whole bunches and 50% new wood. There are only 3,000 bottles to go around, but it is well worth seeking out. It's supple, forward and appealing, with savoury/sweet flavours, a hint of umami, fine-boned tannins and enough acidity for balance. 93/100
