Moteur Pistache Rose
-- Parker: After a more concentrated 2018, the 2019 Moteur Pistache Rosé follows the line of the initial 2017 of this collaboration with their friend Nacho 'Pistacho' Martínez. It was produced with 65% Syrah, 25% juice from pressing old Callet grapes and 10% Prensal Blanc. The white grape makes the wine more fluid on the palate and, at least in the first vintage, makes it look paler. It finished fermenting in a 225- and a 500-liter oak barrel, where the wine matured for nine months. It's a year with lots of color, even the Callets are dark, and the wine looks more like a light, red even if they did a lighter maceration. It feels like a light Beaujolais (think Foillard) with a wild twist of herbs, spices and berries. The palate is very tasty, the tannins very fine, very drinkable. 900 bottles were filled in July 2020. 92/100
