Malvasia Rosada
-- Parker: Parker zu 2018: The 2018 Malvasía Rosada is a new light red produced with 95% Malvasía Rosada, a grape that was almost extinct given its little color, and 5% Negramoll from a four-year-old vineyard. The full clusters fermented in a plastic bin with indigenous yeasts, and the wine matured in a single used 225-liter oak cask for nine months. This is bright pink—it could be a rosé (it's sold as a red because it's produced like a red)—and if you smell it with your eyes closed, if could almost be a white! It has a very reductive character with faint flowers and a very pleasant palate with fine tannins and a dry, stony finish. Drink in a wide Burgundy glass...if you can find it! Only 290 bottles were filled in July 2019. No 2019 will be produced, but the cordón is being formed and it will come back in the future. 93/100
