Lobenberg: Im Gegensatz zur Gravonia Crianza besteht die Reserva auch aus Malvasia, das gibt einen zusätzlichen Kick an perfümiertem, blumigen, exotischem Aroma. Die Viura ist puristisch wie in der Crianza, gewachsen auf Kreide, Kalkstein und weißem Lehm. Die Weißweine stehen immer auf hellen, kargen Böden. Spontanvergärung in Jahunderte alten Holzfässern, dann Ausbau mindestens 6 Jahre im uralten Barrique. Holzfrei aber entwickelt. Wahnsinnig jung und frisch, geradaus, und zugleich diese blumige Reife. Tondonia ist einer der Welt-Maßstäbe für perfekt gereifte Weine. 97/100

-- Tim Atkin: It wasn't always the case, but Tondonia Blanco is now rightly recognised as one of the great white wines of the world. Pairing Viura with 10% Malvasía, the 2012 hails from 90-year- old vines on gravel soils and is a salty, yeasty, savoury delight, with lots of extract and complexity, some tannic grip and remarkable freshness and focus. 2023-35 97/100

-- Suckling: Nuanced pine nuts, macadamia, white truffle, dried pineapple, seaweed and marzipan. Full and voluminous on the palate with a bright beam of acidity giving it a kick in the middle before a long, nutty finish. Aged, but super youthful now. Drink upon release or hold, but probably best in the next five to 10 years. This will age beautifully, as always. 97/100

-- Parker: The next vintage of the white reserva will be released around February 2023 and will be the 2012 Viña Tondonia Blanco Reserva. It has marked notes of mushroom, which is what you get when you enter their cellars, in a warm and dry vintage that is still more vibrant. 16,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in November 2020. 95/100
