Les Dames de Bonneau
-- Parker: The 2018 Les Dames de Bonneau is extraordinary, illustrating what was possible in this generally rather pedestrian vintage. Exhibiting aromas of caramelized pineapple, beeswax, grapefruit zest, confit citrus, white flowers and crisp stone fruit, it's full-bodied, textural and layered, with immense levels of concentration, vibrant flavors and an interminable, unerringly precise finish. With not far from 200 grams per liter of residual sugar, it should prove almost immortal; yet its remarkably low levels of free and combined sulfites mean that it is far more expressive at this stage than most wines from Sauternes-Barsac. 97/100
