Lobenberg: Sirch gehört zum Feudi-Imperium und ist das neue Projekt im Friaul. Das Weingut wurde allerdings schon vor 20 Jahren von Paolo Sirch bewirtschaftet, Paolo ist heute Weinbergsmanager für alle Aktivitäten Feudis in ganz Italien. Das Weingut ist am Fuße der östlichen Alpen gelegen und beherbergt 120 Hektar Rebflächen. Reinsortiger Friulano, früher Tocai Friulano genannt, autochton, das erinnert immer irgendwie an eine klarere und frischere Finesse-Version eines Pinot Grigio. Das Bouquet hat weiße Blüten, Stroh, zarte Pfirsichschale und Honigmelone. Am Gaumen geht’s gebirgsbachklar weiter mit Honigmelone, grüner Birne und etwas Speck wie bei einem jungen Viognier. Schöner, geradliniger und knochentrockener Weißwein. Aufziehen und Spaß haben lautet die Devise! 91/100

The links to Friuli Venezia Giulia are evident in the bright quality of fruit on display here and the subtle mineral notes that give it backbone. With a solid production of 30,000 bottles, they were able to provide some excellent value and a sure pairing partner to steamed mussels with fries. 89/100
