Heiner Lobenberg über:
Domaine de L'A 2018

97–98
/100

Wine Enthusiast über: Domaine de L'A

-- Wine Enthusiast: Barrel Sample. This is a powerful wine that shows big tannins and great concentration that are matched with intense acidity. The result is a magnificent wine with the dense fruit flavor and bold structure that will lend well to aging. 96-98/100

Jeb Dunnuck über: Domaine de L'A

-- Jeb Dunnuck: The 2018 Domaine De L'A is the finest vintage I've tasted from Derenoncourt. Based on 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc brought up in 40% new oak, it reveals a vivid ruby/purple hue to go with a heavenly nose of black raspberries, ripe cherries, cassis, tobacco, spring flowers, roasted herbs, and chocolate. Rich, full-bodied, and concentrated on the palate, it stays weightless and elegant, with sweet tannins, beautiful mid-palate depth, and the pure, vibrant, crystalline style of the vintage front and center. This beauty is already hard to resist yet certainly promises another 15 years of prime drinking from cold cellars. 95/100

Suckling über: Domaine de L'A

-- Suckling: Aromas of blackberries, black truffles and dark earth, as well as flowers, following through to a full body with tight, creamy tannins and a long, intense finish. Excellent tannin quality. Drink after 2023. 94/100

Galloni über: Domaine de L'A

-- Galloni: The 2018 Domaine de l'A is a jewel of a wine. Sweet floral aromatic lend striking aromatic lift. Rich and pliant, but also incredibly refined, the 2018 is so impressive. Crushed rose petal, lavender, red cherry and blood orange all race across the palate in a wine that delivers the goods, big time. 94/100

Wine Cellar Insider über: Domaine de L'A

-- Wine Cellar Insider: Full-bodied, rich, lush and silky, with layers of ripe, sweet, juicy red and black fruits, this is already a pleasure to taste. The layers of black cherries and plums offer purity, length, freshness and serious persistence in the finish. This is the best wine from the home property of Stephane Derenoncourt yet. 94/100

Wine Spectator über: Domaine de L'A

-- Wine Spectator: A polished, alluring style, with a mocha accent emerging from the core of warm plum and boysenberry puree flavors. A very stylish wine in the making. 92-95/100
