Lobenberg: Tiefdunkles Violett im Glas mit Tendenz zu Schwarz. In der Nase schwarze Beere ohne Ende. Brombeere und schwarze Johannisbeere, aber auch schwarze Kirsche. Betörend fruchtig. Dann rotes Fleisch, ein Hauch Leder. Aber auch Nuancen von Lakritz und Veilchen. Toller Einstieg. Im Mund saftige Frucht, wieder schwarz, wieder Brombeere und jetzt auch Holunderbeere. Dazu angeröstete Kräuter. Schön samtig auskleidend, keine ungehobelten Tannine. Durchaus mit Länge und im Nachhall wieder Johannisbeere. Etwas breit, ein Tick mehr Säure täte vielleicht gut, ist aber Geschmackssache. Aber immer präsent, leicht mineralischen Noten kommen auch noch. Zeigt viele Nuancen, ist aber zugleich nicht hyperkomplex, aber warum auch? Der soll Spaß machen, und was soll ich sagen, ich schenke noch mal nach. Toller Einstiegswein von Negly, hier ist schon erkennbar, was nach oben noch geht. Saftig, lecker und bezahlbar. 92-93/100

-- Jeb Dunnuck: The 2016 La Clape Falaise is another hedonistic, downright opulent wine from this terrific estate. Blackberries, leafy herbs, bacon fat, and olive notes all emerge from this full-bodied, layered, and seriously textured red. It shows the sweet fruit and opulence that's the hallmark of the vintage, but also has purity and balance. 92/100

Parker über: Coteaux du Languedoc La Falaise

-- Parker: --Parker: The 2016 La Clape la Falaise was the only red from that vintage that had been bottled at the time of my February visit. It's a blend of 55% Syrah, 40% Grenache and 5% Mourvèdre that aged a year in foudres. It's a rich, velvety wine filled with black cherry fruit that verges on surmaturité. Creamy, supple and long, but not as concentrated or intense as the other bottlings, I'd opt for drinking this fruit-bomb within its first decade. It's a good introduction to the house style. 92/100

Das Château de la Négly liegt knapp 20 km von Narbonne entfernt im Herzen des Clape Gebirges. Das Gebiet war noch zu gallisch-römischer Zeit eine Insel, und erst durch Sedimentablagerungern entstand der Fluss Aude und es wurde ein Teil des Festlands.
