Yes, it shows some oak on the nose, but it’s in the form of subtle pencil shavings, not a big blast of toast or vanilla. Full-bodied and richly textured, it’s not the most typical vintage of this wine, but it’s exceptional, showing velvety waves of dark fruit on the long finish. 92-94/100

This beauty offers deep, layered notes of blackberry and cassis fruits, ground herbs, licorice, and hints of spring flowers. It’s medium to full-bodied, has terrific mid-palate depth, and needs 2-4 years of bottle age to hit prime time. 92/100
