Lobenberg: Sansonnet ist im Besitz der Familie Lefévère, der auch Villemaurine, Moulin du Cadet und Soutard Cadet gehören. Alle liegen auf dem kühlen Hochplateau von Saint-Émilion in Richtung Castillon. Reiner Kalkstein mit leichter Lehm-Sand-Auflage. Immer sehr elegante Weine, für Saint-Émilion sogar unerwartet fein und finessenreich. Sansonnet ist ein kleines Weingut mit wahnsinnigem Potenzial, das Stück für Stück abgerufen wird in den letzten Jahren. Berater ist das Team Michel Rolland. Reiche, dichte schwarze Frucht. Cassis und Maulbeere, süße Lakritze, aber auch Minze und Eukalyptus. Frische dahinter und viel aromatischer Druck. Der feine Schwarzkirsch-Mund wird untermalt von roter Johannisbeere, von Sauerkirsche. Wow, was für eine Frische! Da ziehen sich die Augen zusammen. Kühler, saftiger Trinkfluss. Mittlere Länge, mittlerer Körper, aber tolle Balance und Finesse. Ein sehr komplexer Wein mit vielen Facetten. Große Länge, Kalksteinmineralität und Salz hintenraus. Aber auch frische rotfruchtige Säure. Ein sehr harmonischer, balancierter, hedonistischer Saint-Émilion. 97-98/100

The rich, decadent, full-bodied palate (15% alcohol) delivers impactful, mouth-coating black fruits, framed by velvety tannins and seamless freshness, finishing with lingering exotic spices notes.This 35+-year-old, 6.96-hectare vineyard is planted to 6,000 vines per hectare on thin clay and limestone soils atop the Saint-Émilion plateau, just across the road from Château Trotte Vieille. This 2020 blend is 95% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Cabernet Franc, aging for around 16 months in French oak barrels, 80% new. 94-96/100
