Lobenberg: Dieses winzige Weingut ist erst seit einigen Jahren in der Topklasse. Schwarzrot, sehr schöne reife Nase nach schwarzen Beeren, Brombeere und Cassis, nie überreif und wuchtig sondern fein und elegant, vom Stil ein kleiner Clos Fourtet. Frischer Mund mit butterweichem Tannin, nur mittleres Volumen, charmant und fein. Schöne schwarze Frucht, Kakao, Kaffee, gute Rasse. Kein Riese aber genau das, was man von einem sehr guten Saint Emilion möchte, von hoher Klasse, lecker, macht viel Spaß.

-- Parker: Another 100% Merlot tipping the scales at 14.5% natural alcohol, the 2005 Lynsolence was fashioned from tiny yields of 23 hectoliters per hectare, received a nine day cold soak, a month-long macertaion, and the rotation of barrels on the relatively new Oxoline system (a system of barrel racks on wheels that allow the barrels to be easily turned, which enhances the upbringing of a wine on its lees by doing an automatic batonnage without opening the bung). This deep ruby/purple-tinged St.-Emilion offers a stunning nose of coffee, blueberries, black cherry jam, smoke, and lead pencil shavings. As one might expect from the natural alcohol achieved, there are high glycerin levels as well as loads of structure and tannin, and nicely integrated acidity and wood in this powerful, big effort.

-- Quarin: Dunkle, intensive und leicht entwickelte Farbe. In der Nase reife Frucht, von mittlerer Intensität. Fett im Auftakt, lieblich in der Mitte des Mundes, sehr aromatisch und sogar komplex, der Wein streckt sich im Finale, lang, schmackhaft, mit eingebetteten Tanninen und einem frischen Hauch von Menthol. Er unterscheidet sich von den vorherigen Jahrgängen und ist sehr gut.

-- Weinwisser: Leuchtendes Rubin, mittlere Dichte. Komplexes Bouquet, Kirschen und helle Würze, toskanisches Flair im Ansatz. Im Gaumen cremig, mit Aromen, die man nicht spontan in Saint Emilion sucht, zeigt im Innern noch Biss und bleibt bei guten Anlagen leicht kernig.
