Heiner Lobenberg über:
Chateau La Serre Grand Cru Classe 2016

Lobenberg: 7 Hektar, 80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc. Lehm auf dem Kalksteinplateau in Saint Emilion. Extrem gutes Terroir. La Serre ist ein Grand Cru Classé und mindestens seit 2005 in immer weiterem Höhenflug begriffen. Sehr dichte Schwarzkirsch-Nase. Hohe Intensität. Etwas Cassis und Brombeere darunter. Hohe Harmonie ausstrahlend, fein und trotzdem dicht. Auch der Mund ist so köstlich. Keine Brombeere, sondern fast nur schwarze Kirsche. So gut verwoben, so fein. Leicht rote Sauerkirsche darunter. Das ist völlig ein unanstrengender, wunderbarer Genuss. Köstlicher Trinkfluss. Ein toller Wert. 95-96/100

Jane Anson über: Chateau La Serre Grand Cru Classe

-- Jane Anson: A powerful year that is remisicent of the 2010, but with more precision and mid palate power. Curls of saffron and tumeric, against the blackberry and raspberry soft brambled berry fruits, with the most delicious swoop of salinity and well-structured but fine tannins. You can open this now to enjoy the plump character to the fruits, but there will come a moment in the next few years when it will close back down, and you will need to leave for another half decade. 47hl/h yield. 95/100

Jeb Dunnuck über: Chateau La Serre Grand Cru Classe

-- Jeb Dunnuck: The 2016 Château La Serre sports a medium ruby/purple color and is 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc raised in 50% new oak. Offering up a perfumed bouquet of black raspberries, black cherries, tobacco, and truffly, damp earth, this beauty is medium to full-bodied, has terrific purity of fruit, moderate tannins, and an undeniably charming, rounded style that's going to evolve nicely for 15 years or more. It's one of the finest versions of this cuvée I've tasted. 93/100

Mein Winzer
