Lobenberg: War 1982 die eigentliche Initialzündung der großen Weine dieses Weinguts? Neben Ausone und Canon und Belair noch oberhalb von Angelus gelegen, allerbestes Terroir. Bemerkenswert dicht und komplex. 95-96/100

-- Suckling: It was wonderful to find this bottle in a wine bar in Tokyo just after tasting the legendary 1990 in Hong Kong a few days before. Granted, I don't think the 1990 Beausejour I had in Hong Kong was a prefect bottle but the 1982 certainly very close. Great stuff. It was so complex with fabulous aromas of chocolate, spice and berry. So much intensity to it with a full body and a flavorful finish. This is a wine to seek out. Crazy quality. And not showing any sign of decline in quality. 97/100

-- Jeb Dunnuck: From a bottle purchased in Saint Emilion, the 1982 Château Beauséjour (Duffau-Lagarrosse) showed beautifully and while fully mature, still has a youthful vibe and opened up over the evening. Lots of ripe blackcurrant fruits, forest floor, green tobacco, and saddle leather notes all flow to a medium to full-bodied, rounded, opulent wine that has resolved tannins, sweet fruit, and outstanding length. It’s not going to get any better, but it’s a classy, outstanding Saint-Emilion to enjoy over the coming 5-8 years or so. 92/100
