Lobenberg: 70 Jahre alte Reben, ein halber Hektar in Südost-Exposition neben der Top-Lage Amoureusses. Eine sanfte Hügellage, nur 30 cm helle Erde und Lehm über Kalksteingeröll, ein ehemaliges Flussbett. Die Nase ist sehr reich, tief und würzig. Viel schwarze Frucht, Brombeere und Maulbeere mit Johannisbrot, dazu Blaubeere vor satter roter Kirsche, so dicht und intensiv. Leder und Pflaume, Teer, Lakritze, auch würzige Noten mit Minze und Eukalyptus, in seiner Dichte und Reichhaltigkeit fast an Vosne Romanee erinnernd. Explosiver Mund mit dichtem, reichhaltigem Aroma. Der Wein ist extrem komplex und macht das ganze Spiel von schwarzer zu roter zu gelber Frucht durch. Zitrusaromatik gibt Frische, das Spiel zwischen Grapefruit mit Blaubeere und Brombeere wird dann von Kirsche geflutet. Walnuss und Kramell schwingt in feiner Salzigkeit nach. 94-96/100

-- Parker: The 2012 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Charmes, which comes from 0.45-hectares of vine located towards Amoureuses, already boasts a lively, slightly more citric bouquet compared to Les Fuees, with flecks of dark chocolate loitering in the background. The palate is very harmonious with good body, appreciable density here. The tannins form a firm backbone and there is a sense of linearity towards the tightly wound finish. This deserves 3-4 years in bottle after release unlike the Les Fuees that I suspect will drink earlier. 91-93/100

-- Burghound: Though there is some wood in evidence it is more moderate as it allows the pretty and elegant aromas of black cherry, raspberry and subtle spice notes to be easily appreciated. There is a velvety and enveloping texture to the medium weight flavors that brim with palate coating dry extract that also buffers the moderately firm tannic spine on the balanced and utterly delicious finish. A classic Charmes of seduction and charm that should drink well young if desired. 90-92/100
