Lobenberg: Nur ein Viertel Hektar direkt neben Bonnes Mares, 30 Jahre alte Reben. Dicht und rauchig, dunkle Aromen, etwas monolitisch und weit weniger verspielt als die anderen Weine Rions. Dafür sehr definiert und geradeaus. Immense Waldfrucht, dicht und süß. Ein Chambolle wie ein Vosne Romanee, Veilchen in Walderdbeere und Waldhimbeere eingelegt, reichhaltig und dicht, voluminös. Mehr vorne und vorwärts, weniger komplexe Finesse und doch einfach gut! Extrem trinkig und lecker. 94-95/100

-- Burghound: Here too the wood is sufficiently prominent that it fights somewhat with the black currant, exotic tea and floral aromas. There is good richness and fine intensity to the markedly more mineral-inflected middle weight flavors that possess fine depth on the delicious and persistent finish where the wood treatment resurfaces. This firm and dusty effort will need a few years to unwind and flesh out. 89-92/100

-- Parker: The 2012 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Fuees, which comes from a 0.25-hectare parcel planted in 1990, displays more volume and sensuality on the nose compared to the Gruenchers, adorned with attractive strawberry preserve and raspberry scents, hints of dried violet petals emerging with time. The palate is medium-bodied with a silky entry. There is a little more substance and harmony here compared to the Gruenchers and it just glides across the palate towards the composed, velvety finish. Perhaps it does not have quite the same finesse as Frederic Mugnier’s Les Fuees – but it is a tempting Pinot. 91-93/100
