Lobenberg: Godello und Treixadura im gemischten Satz, 70 Jahre alt, cool climate Hochlage. Der ehemalige Alltagswein für den Familienkonsum, viele kleine Plots gepflanzt überall wo Platz war. 24 Stunden Maischestandzeit, dann spontan zusammen vergoren, Ausbau im gebrauchten Holz. Gelbfarbig, Mürber Apfel und Quitte im Mund, ein Trinfluss wie flüssige Seide mit total harmonischer Säurestruktur. Mild, cremig und frisch zugleich mit einer hervorragenden leichten Bitterkeit von der Maische. Passt wie Faust aufs Auge, superber Wein. 95/100

-- Parker: The white 2019 Cepas Viejas, which means old vines, was produced with the grapes from individual white vines found intermixed with the reds in the old vines across different plots. It matured in well-seasoned, neutral barrels for around 10 months, and oak is never an aroma or flavor here. It shows a little more development than the 2020 that I tasted next to it, but it also reveals more nuance and good complexity. It's less aromatic than the 2020, and it reminds me a bit of the bottlings from the early years (when the wine didn't show vintage or name like today, GLG) with some flinty notes. It's vibrant and tasty. This wine ages nicely in bottle. 2,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in August 2020. 94/100
