Bonnes Mares Grand Cru 2012
/100

Parker über: Bonnes Mares Grand Cru
-- Parker: The 2012 Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru has a ripe and generous bouquet that does not possess the delineation and mineralite expressed by the Clos de Beze, at least at this early juncture. The palate is sweet and candied on the entry with hints of pain grille infusing the black fruit. This is quite a serious Bonnes-Mares with plenty of structure and grip towards the finish and will probably require more cellaring than others. Could this be a more cautious Bonnes-Mares once in bottle?

-- Katalog: --Burghound: A ripe yet discreet and restrained cool red berry fruit nose offers up notes of warm earth, spice, plum and layered floral hints. There is excellent richness and overt power to the relatively refined middle weight plus flavors thanks to the fine-grained tannins that coat the mouth on the explosively long finish. This is a beautifully complex effort that is a bit less austere than usual. 92-95/100

-- Internet: -- IWC: (another 22 ares of vines in Bonnes-Mares reverted back to the estate in 2013): Good full red. Complex, musky aromas of red berries, spices, clove and botanical herbs. Concentrated, bright and sweet, with lovely lift to the flavors of minerals, spices, botanical herbs and licorice. Conveys a real white soil character but with the roundness of the vintage's better examples. Finishes savory and serious, with big but fine-grained tannins and excellent verve. 92-95/100 -- Galloni: The 2012 Bonnes Mares is rich, deep and explosive. Sweet tobacco, wild flowers and blue/purplish fruit meld together in the glass. The 2012 is complex and marvelously complete from the very first taste. Expressive floral notes become more prominent in the glass, lending an air of sensuality that balances some of the more virile aspects of the wine's personality. Bruno Clair's Bonnes Mares emerges from parcels on the Morey side, next to Clos de Tart. 94-96/100 -- TA: Th best of an impressive line up of Grands Crus from this domaine in 2012, this is one of the best Bonnes Mares of the vintage, with none of the wildness that sometimes crops up in wines from the vineyard. This is a very polished red, all subtle winks and nudges rather than grand gestures. Elegant and mineral with palate-caressing texture. 97/100
