Heiner Lobenberg über:
B Crux 2012

93+
/100

Wunderschöne Länge, Harmonie in allen Bereichen. 93+/100

Suckling über: B Crux

-- Suckling: A fruity and focused red with dark-berry, cherry and burnt-lemon character. Medium to full body. Firm tannins. A blend of tempranillo, malbec, merlot and syrah. Better in 2020. 91/100

Parker über: B Crux

-- Parker: The blend of the 2012 B Crux changed since 2011 and is now mostly Malbec, with some 30% Tempranillo, 15% Syrah and 10% Merlot from their estate vineyards in La Consulta in the Valle de Uco. It's a ripe and heady blend hitting the scales at 15% alcohol, denoting a warm, dry and ripe year. It fermented in stainless steel vats with selected yeasts and went through malolactic in barrel, where it matured for one year. They had already started the change towards fresher wines but you still feel the concentration and the oak here, even if it's less prominent that in previous vintages. There are some smoky aromas reminiscent of roasted sesame seeds over a core of ripe plums and sweet spices. There are abundant, fine-grained tannins and ripe fruit. It ends dry. A powerful blend for hearty food. 90/100
