Lobenberg: Biondi Santi verkörpert in seinen Brunelli immer noch den Geist der Tradition. Nicht die überwältigende Frucht eines Soldera, Poggio di Sotto oder Valdicava, eher basierend auf der Eleganz eines Salvioni einen erdigen Ansatz aufbauend. Balsamico, Trüffel, Erde, Amarena, Zwetschge. Tiefes, würziges Finale. Feige und geröstetes Holz, aber altes Holz. Komplex und aromatisch, sehr hintergründig. Immer noch 'a class of its own'. 98-100/100

The bouquet is broad and far reaching in character with dried blackberry and plum followed by savory tobacco and spice. This vintage is fleshy, rich and powerful. It offers balanced tertiary aromas, but they are not the protagonist, and that sense of impeccable balance serves as a measure of how well this wine has held up over time. 96/100
