Chambertin Clos de Beze Grand Cru 2012
/100

Parker über: Chambertin Clos de Beze Grand Cru
-- Parker: -- ParkerThe 2012 Chambertin Clos de Beze Grand Cru has a tight but focused bouquet with mineral-rich red cherry and crushed strawberry fruit, citrus peel and almost a touch of flint. The palate is silky smooth on the entry with very fine tannins. It is reticent at first but it unfurls wondrously in the month with effervescent red fruit infused with orange zest and fabulous nervosite that keep the mouth tingling long after the wine has bid adieu. This is one of the finest Clos de Beze that I have encountered from the domaine. Bon vin! 95-97/100

Galloni über: Chambertin Clos de Beze Grand Cru
-- Galloni: A huge, vertical wine, Bruno Clair's 2012 Chambertin Clos de Béze is endowed with serious structure. Layers of dark, expressive fruit are supported by beams of minerality and acidity. This is an especially sleek, gracious Béze, but there is plenty of power lurking in the background. Layers of voluptuous fruit nearly cover the tannins in a majestic Béze that should drink well for many years. 94-96/100
BH über: Chambertin Clos de Beze Grand Cru
-- BH: A discreet hint of wood allows the slightly riper and definitely spicier aromas of earth, humus, dark berries and soft sauvage notes to shine. There is excellent power to the muscular and broad-shouldered flavors that also brim with structure-buffering dry extract that coats the palate on the mineral-driven, punchy and seriously persistent finish. This is a Bèze of power and finesse though note that unlike many 2012s this is clearly built for the long haul. 93-95/100
IWC über: Chambertin Clos de Beze Grand Cru
-- IWC: Good bright red. Lovely perfume of crushed blackberry and violet. At once densely packed and light on its feet, with superb definition and lift to its flavors of sweet raspberry, boysenberry, blackberry and spices. Finishes very long and subtly perfumed, with substantial but lush and noble tannins. This is remarkably accessible today but there's plenty of medicinal reserve here to ensure a graceful evolution in bottle. 93-96/100
Tim Atkin über: Chambertin Clos de Beze Grand Cru
-- Tim Atkin: -- TA: The oak can be quite assertive at this domaine, but the Grands Crus bottlings have digested it with ease in 2012, such is their fruit concentration. This has appealing notes of clove spice, polished tannins and sumptuous berry fruit, all sustained by an undercurrent of acidity. Not cheap, but very classy indeed. 96/100
